Susan Carey Fine Art Photography

Susan Carey is an award-winning fine art photographer whose photographs have been exhibited in New York City, Los Angeles, Santa Cruz and Rome, Italy. In 2007 she was chosen by FIT PREGNANCY magazine as their favorite pregnancy photographer in Los Angeles. She won "Best Portrait Photograhper" in Los Angeles the last two years from the Fox LAHotlist.

“Become a work of art” is our motto because over the years clients have repeatedly said that Susan has a gift of transforming ordinary people into works of fine art. Because she takes the time to get to know everyone she photographs, Susan's images capture something profoundly personal about them. She brings to her pregnancy portraits over 18 years of experience shooting fine art nudes. As a result, women from around the world commission her to transform them into tasteful works of art.

Susan brings the same insight and passion to her newborn and children's portraiture. She reveals the serenity of new life in an artistic and moving way, creating intimate images that become life-long treasures.

All sessions include a pampering make-up session, wardrobe and a pre-shoot consultation.

Giving back to the community is extremely important to Susan. In addition to donating her work and a percentage of income from her sittings to various charities that support women and children, she also provides monthly sittings to low-income mothers. “I want to make my work available to women who could not otherwise afford it”

Susan lives in Los Angeles with the loves of her life-her husband and their two daughters.
