Melrose Is a small Boutique located in Beautiful Uptown Whittier just a 20 minute drive from downtown LA. We are always worth the trip and the district is worth making a day of it !!!

Melrose Vintage Has an eclectic taste of style and fashion both new and old. Some call it used , some call it vintage everyone calls it sylish. We specialize in the Jr. market, this is the market that is geared twords the teen and college aged crowd. Fashion is so forward for this sector that we sell what has not become trendy yet. As Melrose Vintage is so fashion forward, we generally keep a young hip customer. We also sell to a portfolio of designers that are seeking insperation for some of the hottest fashion. Melrose Vintage also sells brand name items that did not sell on the open market due to the style, as these items where to alternative for the general market they tend to fit right in for us. Melrose Vintage was Established in 1986 as a Wholesale Distributor of mostly Vintage Denim, by 1992 Business was so booming that it was obvious a retail store would be in order, thusly the first Melrose Vintage was born .We where a little shop in a part of Whittier then referred to as "The Village" and yes we had lots of "Village People" wandering the streets. Things unfortunately change, some say for the better but as rising rents increased small independent shops moved out until now, "The Uptown Area" has a Second Wind and a resurgance of new businesses have come in. We are proud to have a heritage in the area. Although we are called a "Vintage" Store we do sell new merchandise. You see a City Ordinace come to play that does not allow "Vintage" Stores on Greenleaf, so when we underwent the final move we had no choice but to put in new merchandise. Fortunately we now have tons of "New Old" merchandise that is brand new from the 70's and 80's. We still feature Levis both new and used and have a good collection of mens dress pants.
