It's a celebration of Hugo's healthy style combined with the flavors of Mexico. It's a celebration of over 30 years experience serving the community. It's a celebration of our own joy in creating something new. Our recipes come from a collection of taste memories that cross the border into Mexico and back again, recipes never fully written down before, but passed from family member to family member, with each generation adding their own imprint. Our Jalapeno Tomatillo salsa, for instance, is a descendent of a salsa served at a small taco stand in Tijuana. The Salsa Negra traces its lineage to Michoacan where dark red guajillo chilies are given a special roasting on open fires. Add that history to Hugo's' reputation for quality, freshness, healthy choices, (such as organic spices, beans and rice) as well as vegetarian alternatives, and you've got Hugo's Tacos. The result is a blend that's authentically delicious.
